Tricia Stearns is a storyteller whose work blends a kaleidoscope of experiences into essays, stories, and articles. Her writing has been featured in publications such as The Atlanta Journal-Constitution,
Bloom, Loose Change, Dirty Spoon, Manifest-Station, and Gut Wrench.
Tricia is one of the owners of The Citizen (thecitizen.com), a locally driven digital newspaper with a deep-rooted history in Fayette County, Georgia—the home of Trilith Studios, World Federation Soccer, and Peachtree City’s renowned 92 miles of scenic cart paths.
Alongside her writing, Tricia is passionate about community building. She founded and managed the Peachtree City Farmers Market and led the first seven years of the Peachtree City Community Garden. Additionally, she guided her multi-million-dollar real estate practice through the challenges of the 2008-2010 market crash. These experiences have developed her greatest strength: connecting people through stories, food, and authentic conversations.
A lifelong oral storyteller, Tricia is no stranger to the stage. She’s performed at The Moth in Washington, D.C., and Atlanta, as well as at the Atlanta and Athens Fringe Festivals. She has also curated and organized Stories on the Square-Fayette County for the Southern Order of Storytellers and appeared on podcasts like
Listen to Your Mother and Tantrum.
When she’s not writing or performing, Tricia and her husband, Bern, can be found hiking and biking worldwide—just enough to be considered "global gourmets." But no matter where her travels take her, she always returns home to tend her sourdough starter and vegetable garden, making pickles to share with her adult children and grandchildren at family suppers.
